Nabarros, Trowers strengthen relationships with Locog" />Nabarro Nathanson and Trowers & Hamlins are to attend the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games' (Locog) weekly meetings.

The arrangement was struck between Locog general counsel Terry Miller, Trowers public sector partner Helen Randall and Nabarros public sector partner Karen Andrews. All three lawyers were featured in The Lawyer Hot 100 2007.

Randall said: "It's early days, but lots of the work that [Trowers] is doing in local government for the East London boroughs is Olympics-related and it makes sense for us to have a common approach; and it's obviously better that we know the people involved in the transactions."

Trowers is one of three firms (the others being Mills & Reeve and Sharpe Pritchard) that acts for the legal services partnership between the East London boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

Nabarros and Trowers are believed to be the first nontop 20 firms to forge close relationships with Locog. Ashurst, Berwin Leighton Paisner, Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have all worked on the London 2012 Olympics project.

Miller joined Locog last October from Goldman Sachs, where she was international general counsel (The Lawyer, 24 July 2006).
