Nabarros client leads e-market

An internet company set up only six months ago has become the leading one of its kind in Europe - and has been advised throughout by Nabarro Nathanson.

The firm has acted for NewMedia Spark since the company was formed in October. Nabarros has just advised on its £85m acquisition of Scandinavia's top internet investment company Cell Internet Commerce Development.

NewMedia Spark specialises in taking stakes in internet, technology and software companies from early incubation to development capital stages.

Scandinavia is the most developed internet market in Europe, so for the company to take the lead in the market is significant.

Nabarros corporate finance partner Iain Newman says: "We formed the company in October and floated it three weeks later. Since it floated it has raised about £90m."
