This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Nabarro’s graduate recruitment team has made its first foray into the world of social networking by rolling out a dedicated Twitter account.
The top 30 firm hopes the launch will open a portal for contact with students and future trainees.
Graduate recruitment manager Jane Drew said: “We’re not the first, but it’s a way for us to hopefully engage with students and tell them about events and receive feedback.
“We decided to stay away from Facebook, in part because of our graduate recruitment slogan ’Less Facebook more face-to-face’, but mainly because research told us that students don’t want you in that social space.”
The graduate recruitment team took part in an internal workshop with a member of the firm’s business development function to get them up to speed with Twitter. The firm is also set to launch a firmwide Twitter account this week.
The news comes after Hogan Lovells last month made its first assault on the world of social networking by launching its own Facebook page (29 September 2011).
Hogan Lovells joined the likes of magic circle firm Allen & Overy, which launched its page last year (16 November 2010).
Linklaters’ graduate recruitment team also launched a Facebook page and Twitter account, which provides 500 members with regular updates about trainee solicitor recruitment at the firm.
