Nabarro converts to LLP

Nabarro‘s partnership has voted to convert to LLP status, with the change expected to take place during the first half of this year.

Senior partner Simon Johnston emphasised that LLP was “a modern, transparent business arrangement that is more suited to the current practice of law.”

He emphasised however, that releasing publicly available accounts and records will make very little difference to the day-to-day running of the business.

The news follows on from a host of other law firms opting to become LLPs in recent months.

In November Ashurst moved to LLP status (www.thelawyer.com, 29 October 2007), while earlier in the year Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, Clyde & Co, Coffin Mew & Clover, Dawsons, Linklaters and Lovells did the same.
