N Irish Law Soc conveyancing scheme

The Law Society of Northern Ireland has launched the Home Charter Scheme, a conveyancing quality assurance programme aimed at providing the highest possible standard of service to people buying and selling houses. Law Society president Andrew Carnson says the scheme was introduced "so the public can see the readiness of the profession to adopt and promote best practice in its work". The scheme will be separately monitored by a monitoring officer who will make regular and random checks on all solicitors registered under it.
