Madrid-based firm Mullerat is opening an office in Palma de Mallorca
The firm, which has 10 partners and a turnover of e8m (£4.9m), specialises in corporate and commercial work. Mullerat also has offices in Barcelona, San Sebastian and Lisbon, Portugal. The firm has three lawyers who are set to start working in the Palma office, but plans to grow the business there as soon as possible. A Barcelona-based partner is in charge of running the Palma office. The firm says it already has an ample client base in the Balearic Islands, made up of local companies and foreign businesses with an interest in the area. Mullerat specialises in corporate and commercial work and is understood to work with a number of top-20 UK firms. It was created in 2001 as the result of a merger between Bufete Mullerat and Echarri & Brindle. Mullerat senior partner Alberto Echarri said that the firm is working on consolidating its own merger, but will consider good offers from UK firms to aid further expansion.
