MP wins battle against Mirror

Former MP and writer, Rupert Allason, has won the appeal against a High Court dismissal of a malicious falsehood claim he brought over a Mirror article. Allason, who has mounted some 20 defamation claims over the years and who always represents himself succeeded in his challenge of last year's decision by veteran libel judge, Sir Maurice Drake. The Court of Appeal has held that Allason had suffered loss.
