Jeremy Sivyer has moved to Russell-Cooke as a partner from Simmons & Simmons, where he was head of the commercial group.

Stephenson Harwood has added Phillip Rompotis to its Hong Kong office as a consultant. He was a barrister with Barrister at Law in Melbourne, Australia.

Bargate Murray’s new aviation department will be headed by partner Alfred Merckx, who has moved from a general counsel post at Dubai-based JetEx Flight Support.

Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison has brought in Spencer Park to join its Hong Kong office as counsel. Park was previously an executive director and group general counsel at Asia Pacific Land.

Hugh Brown has taken over from Edward Newitt as managing partner in the Dubai office of Holman Fenwick Willan. Newitt has returned to London.

Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow has appointed head of tax and wealth management Edmund Leow to managing principal in Singapore to replace Clive Cook.

Cooley has brought in former Dickstein Shapiro partner DeAnna Allen to join its Washington DC office as an IP partner and Kaye Scholer counsel Joseph Drayton has joined its New York office as a partner.

Nixon Peabody’s New York office has hired Tushna Gamadia as counsel. Gamadia was previously at Citigroup Global Capital Markets.

A trio of patent attorneys has moved from Day Pitney to McCarter & English. They are partners Keith McWha and Gerald Levy and special counsel Ronald Brown.

Offshore

Walkers has promoted 11 attorneys to its partnership. They are investment funds lawyer Marianne Rajic (British Virgin Islands), finance and corporate lawyers Daniel Wood (Dubai), Noeleen Ruddy (Dublin) and Kristen Kwok (Hong Kong), investment funds lawyers Ben Benson, Caroline Heal and Tim Ludford-Thomas, dispute resolution lawyer Lindsay Luttermann, and finance and corporate/investment funds lawyers Ramesh Maharaj, Richard Munden and Michael Padarin (Cayman Islands).

Channel Islands firm Collas Crill has appointed Mason Birbeck from as fiduciary partner. He was previously at Bedell Cristin, where he was a senior associate.
