Devika Khanna has joined Clyde & Co as a partner in its international arbitration team.
Move of the week
Khanna, a specialist in international arbitration in the energy and construction sectors, moves from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where she was a senior associate.
Clydes partner Ben Knowles said Khanna brings “considerable energy-related disputes experience”.
Hodge Jones & Allen has appointed its first chief operating officer Glenn Fletcher from probate genealogist firm Title Research, where he was operations and finance director.
Speechly Bircham has promoted William Garner in financial services, and Dominic Lawrance in private wealth to the partnership. James Freeman has been appointed as head of the family practice and Elizabeth Budd will lead the financial services group.
Browne Jacobson has added Tony Child and Ros Foster to its London-based insurance and public risk team, from DAC Beachcroft. Child joins the firm as a consultant, while Foster is an associate.
Stephen Marks has joined Trowers & Hamlins’ commercial property team as partner from Maxwell Winward, where he
was also a partner.
Property lawyer Jeremy Licence has returned to Furley Page as a partner and head of the firm’s newly-created real estate team. He moved from Vertex Law, where he was a member and head of real estate. He previously spent seven years at Furley from 2000.

IP partner Seth Levy has joined Nixon Peabody’s Los Angeles office from being chair of Davis Wright Tremaine’s life sciences practice in Los Angeles. He is joined by: associates Linda Huber, Sean Senn and B Thomas Duke; patent agents Stephen Chen and Hema Vakharia-Rao; and patent scientist BinQuan Zhuang.
Gabriel Lidman has joined the Stockholm office of Bird & Bird as a partner in the international media sector group and will head the commercial practice group in Sweden. He was a partner and head of TMT and IP at Swedish firm Hamilton. The firm’s Paris office has hired Stephen Walters as a partner in its international corporate practice group from Dewey & LeBoeuf, where he was also a partner.
Olswang has added Christiane Hulsmans to its restructuring and insolvency practice as of counsel based in Berlin. She moves from the real estate team at Eurohypo AG.
