Cooke Young & Keidan has hired former Finers Stephens Innocent financial services and regulatory partner Philip Rubens. He had been with FSI for more than 20 years and joins the commercial and financial dispute resolution practice.
Mills & Reeve has promoted 13 senior solicitors to associates, while 25 solicitors have been promoted to senior solicitor status. New associates are Laura Noone, Paul Slinger, Ruth Phillips and Chloe Bucktin in Birmingham; Hannah Wilson, Sheila Balchin, Simon Crane and Nichola Ross in Cambridge; Edward Heaton in Leeds; David Roche in London; and Alex Russell, Philip Lumb and James Hordern in Norwich.

Berwin Leighton Paisner has hired former Clifford Chance senior associate Jorge Page to its London-based real estate finance team.
Shearman & Sterling has taken Paul Clews as counsel in its high-yield team in London from Barclays’ leveraged finance team where he held a transactional management role.

Anne-Marie Ottaway joins the firm from the SFO, where she was a case manager in the bribery and corruption business area with specific responsibility for corporate self-reporting and solicitor Kim Green joins from Byrne & Partners.
Riverview Law has appointed Matthew Banks as its director of legal advisory outsourcing. He was formerly with SVP Legal Solutions as global head of legal knowledge innovation and best practice.
TLT has appointed Nick Fenneras a partner and head of IP disputes to its City office. He joins from Shoosmiths, where he was partner and head of IP in the Reading office.
RJW Slater & Gordon has brought in solicitor Amy Chesterfield to its Milton Keynes family department from Purcell Solicitors in Milton Keynes.

Herbert Smith has recruited partner Alexei Panich, a leading dispute resolution practitioner, to its global disputes practice, based in Moscow. He joins from Salans, where he was head of the Moscow dispute resolution practice and co-head of the Russian taxation group.
Bird & Bird’s Frankfurt office has added partner Heiko Höfler to its international regulatory and administrative practice group, bringing with him associates Zsófia Petersen and Christine Herkommer. Höfler was a partner with Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.
Offshore firm Harneys has relocated litigation counsel James Noble to its Hong Kong office, joined by finance associate Vanisha Harjani, who was an associate with Ogier in Hong Kong. The firm has also added former Ogier foreign legal consultant Lucia Corradi to its Montevideo office as an associate.
CWL Partners has hired Kelly Wong as a partner and head of a new insurance practice group in Hong Kong. Wong was previously a partner at Kennedys in Hong Kong.
DLA Piper partner Jonathan Leitch has been transferred from London to lead the restructuring group in Hong Kong.
Mayer Brown JSM has hired Nathan Dodd as a partner in Singapore. He joins from Linklaters, where he was counsel. The firm has also promoted Yeda Hong and Julianna Wong to consultants in the real estate practice in Hong Kong.
Doughty Street Chambers has taken terrorism and crime silk Tim Moloney QC and criminal defence Tatyana Eatwell from Tooks Chambers.
