Specialist gambling and leisure law firm Harris Hagan has hired Tom Grant as a senior associate from The Rank Group, where he was senior commercial counsel.

K&L Gates has hired two partners in its Moscow office. Andrei Soukhomlinov was a partner and co-head of the Russian real estate and construction group at Salans.

Dmitry Gladkov was general counsel for Russia/CIS at investment bank Aton.

The Paris office of Eversheds has hired Gaëtan Cordier as a partner and head of IP/IT.

He was previously in the same role at Dewey & LeBoeuf.

Gide Loyrette Nouel has promoted seven lawyers to its partnership. They are: Melinda Arsouze (London), Bertrand Barrier (Kiev), Jiannian Fan (Shanghai), Eszter Kamocsay-Berta (Budapest), Yue Liu (Beijing), Vanessa Tollis (New York) and Ekaterina Vilenskaya (Moscow).

Linklaters partners Luca Picone and Francesco Stella, along with of counsel Luca Magrini, have moved across in the same roles to Hogan Lovells’ corporate team

Bingham McCutchen has hired Michael Barron as a partner from DLA Piper, where he was a corporate and securities partner.

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has added Professor Tai-Heng Cheng as a New York partner. Cheng was a professor of law at New York Law School.

Debevoise & Plimpton in Washington has added litigation partner Robert Kaplan. He was co-chief of the asset management unit of the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement.
