  • Thank you Tom a very useful summary. I like your statement:
    Meanwhile, the real solution to under performing employees is to have an efficient and properly ­managed performance management process – something at which, generally, UK business does not excel.
    The problem is not the employees it is too frequently poor management. I like that phrase "More people leave a job because of their manager, than leave because they don't like the work."
    Create better managers and we will have better employees.
