Mourant Ozannes

2012 was a busy year for offshore law firm Mourant Ozannes, with September seeing the launch of the Channel Islands firm’s long-planned British Virgin Islands (BVI) office. Jersey partner Michael Williams relocated to lead the office, with Ogier managing associates Rachael McDonald and Shaun Folpp both joining the firm as partners in the BVI.

At the beginning of 2012, Mourant Ozannes also formally launched a Hong Kong office six months after first announcing it was moving into Asia. Hong Kong is headed up by Paul Christopher who was joined by newly recruited partners Alex Last and Simon Lawrenson, qualified in the Cayman Islands and BVI law respectively.

The firm’s clients include financial institutions, public companies, corporations, fund promoters and high-net-worth private clients.

The firm is led managing partner Jonathan Rigby who was elected to the post in June 2010. His expertise lies in capital markets, structured finance and investment fund transactions.
