Motorola's one-stop on to Internet

Motorola has developed an all-in-one Internet system for easy access to the information superhighway.

The system, known as the Internet Solution, provides a modem, cabling and software in a single box and provides access to the full range of Internet services, including: email; browsing business, and entertainment information; access to and use of information stored on other computers; and file transfer for easy downloading of information to a PC. It also includes VocalTec Internet phone software.

Simon Boyle, UK marketing director for Motorola, says: "Many people are put off trying to get onto the information superhighway, because of the difficulties involved in buying a modem, getting the right software and cables, setting up an account with a service provider and so on. This takes away time consuming tasks and delivers everything you need to access the 'net in a single box."
