Morgan Lewis & Bockius’ London office has scored a double after recruiting the former head of Norton Rose’s IP and IT group as well as the general counsel from client Cantor Fitzgerald International.
Richard Barratt joins the US firm as a partner from Norton Rose, where he was global head of IP and IT before a recent restructuring of the department saw the role pass on to Mike Rebeiro.
Former client Robert Falkner was general counsel Europe and Asia for Cantor Fitzgerald International, eSpeed International and their European and Asian affiliates. He joins Morgan Lewis’s litigation practice as a partner specialising in financial services regulation and enforcement.
Morgan Lewis intends that Falkner will work closely with the firm’s regulatory practices in Washington DC and New York.
