Morgan Lewis is ramping up its London corporate group with a former partner of Australia’s Jackson McDonald Barristers & Solicitors.
Kenneth Mildwaters, best known in the UK legal market as the former general counsel and group legal director at the world’s biggest spirits group Diageo, is moving to the US law firm just eight months after joining Jackson McDonald.
At the time of his appointment at Jackson McDonald, the firm stated: “Dr Mildwaters returns to Perth with his family after working abroad for 17 years.”
However Mildwaters has made a volte-face and opted to work for Morgan Lewis’ London office.
Prior to Jackson McDonald, Mildwaters worked for US finance group Babcock & Brown, after leaving Diageo in 1999.
Mildwaters had worked at the beer wine and spirits group since 1993 after joining Guinness, which subsequently merged with Grand Metropolitan to form Diageo, from Theodore Goodard.
