The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
The Belgian office of Morgan Lewis & Bockius has poached White & Case Ger-man antitrust partner Gerrit Schohe to boost its Brussels competition platform.
Since the departure of the former head of the European Commission cartels unit Julian Joshua, the firm has had just one Brussels antitrust lawyer, Izzet Sinan. Joshua, who joined in 2000, departed for US rival Howrey Simon Arnold & White in 2002.
Schohe will complement a strong German antitrust offering at Morgan Lewis – the firm already has two partners in Frankfurt. Sinan said: “It’s a matter of where the clients are. Germany’s a huge economy and has a habit of throwing up antitrust issues.” Schohe is also US-qualified.
Schohe represents a change of direction rather than an overdue direct replacement for Joshua. Izzet commented: “We preferred someone from private practice. [Schohe] complements our M&A and cartel practice, and he also has a deep state aid and litigation practice.”
