Morgan Cole’s beleaguered London office has been hit by another partner departure.
The office, which was restructured earlier this year to focus purely on property and property litigation work for property and energy investment clients has lost energy partner Oliver Drennan.
Drennan, who is due to join Collyer-Bristow as a partner next Monday (28 June), is the third energy lawyer to quit Morgan Cole this year.
In April barrister Geoff Hewitt, a former in-house counsel at Saga Exploration, and assistant Gordon Clark, who previously worked at TXU, left the firm to join Charles Russell’s energy team as consultant and assistant respectively (first reported on www.thelawyer.com, 13 April).
Also in April, Morgan Cole lost corporate partner and the former head of its London office Graeme Guthrie to Campbell Hooper.
Meanwhile, earlier this month the firm lost London head of employment Ravinder Mahal to Wedlake Bell.
