Morgan Cole partner tally rises as corporate head quits

Morgan Cole’s former London corporate head Graeme Guthrie is the next partner to join the mass exodus from the firm, after week joining London’s Campbell Hooper.

Guthrie follows Morgan Cole’s former business services partner Alun Cole who left for Eversheds last December, as well as partners Jeff Jenkins and Duncan MacIntosh who have left for Clark Holt and Palser Grossman respectively.

The London office has also been hit hard by departures.

Jonathan Cantor and Leslie Gascoine headed off with a team of assistants to Portner & Jaskel.

Bleddyn Rhys, who was relocated to London to build up the office, is on a long-term secondment to the NHS. Other losses last year included head of insolvency Steven Heffer to Collier Bristow and Jack Czyzowski to Orchard.

It is thought that the firm currently has around four partners in London. The year before the London office demerged with its insurance arm, which has relaunched as Fishburns.
