Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) has hired IP bengoshi Yukihiro Terazawa to bolster its Japanese practice with joint venture partner Ito & Mitomi.
Terazawa is well known in the entertainment sector and is an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Film Production in Japan. He will be based in the Tokyo office of Ito & Mitomi, which works closely with MoFo’s local office on transactional matters.
MoFo Tokyo managing partner Ken Siegel said: “As a patent attorney admitted to practice before the Japanese Patent Office, Yuki adds depth to our litigation team.”
Japan recognises three legal qualifications : bengoshi, shihoshoshi and gyoseishoshi, of which only bengoshi can perform a full range of legal services.
