Hardly newsworthy Reply Link Jonathan Glass 23 July 2013 at 09:18 By any standards, the performance of the firm has been quite remarkable. I can see in years to come, that the turning around of Mishcon’s over the past decade will be one of the case studies studied by those law firm managers who are sent to Harvard by their firms to learn how to run a firm properly. Kevin and his team should be very proud of their achievements. And how many law firm leaders would describe their core values as: “Be nice, be cool, have fun. Give your clients a good service.” Their must be many partners, associates and support staff looking enviously at Mishcons. Reply Link Anonymous 23 July 2013 at 09:45 I’m not sure what’s more cringe-worthy, the recruiter sucking up to a client, the expression ” to Mishconise” or a core value of being cool. I imagine that the expression to be Mishconised will be appropriated as the term used when recruiters con people into thinking that Mishcons is a cool, friendly, west end firm with a work life balance when in reality they move from the magic or silver circle to continue to get beasted only now on a much reduced salary. Reply Link Anonymous 23 July 2013 at 12:37 “Be nice” are in my experience the last two words one would associate with Mischons. As for lawyers who think they are cool… Reply Link Arachnae 23 July 2013 at 12:42 Thank you Mr Headhunter Retained by Mishcons for your entirely objective comments. Reply Link Anonymous 23 July 2013 at 13:49 A bit better than Gold’s previous firm Bayer Rosin, which had little to boast about. Reply Link Anonymous 23 July 2013 at 17:56 Some real sour grapes in these comments. Ex-Mishcon employees with an axe to grind? Jealous city partners aggrieved by their own dipping PEP? I’m not an ‘adoring pigeon’ and while I don’t love Gold’s mishcontrived mishconisms, I applaud his obvious skill, his colleagues’ hard work and their collectively impressive results achieved in these challenging economic times.
