Minters bulks up Perth and Adelaide

Insolvency practitioners Ray Mansueto, Mark Montes and Natasha Riach have moved to the firm's Adelaide office from Australian rival Piper Alderman. Mansueto joins as a partner and will lead the office's insolvency group.
The intellectual property (IP) and technology practice in Perth has also received a boost with the appointment of new head Janice Denoncourt. Despite taking the reins of the IP group, Denoncourt will join as a senior associate. She joins the firm from mining and technology services contractor Brandrill.
Adelaide managing partner Nigel McBride said: “There's a limited future, if any, for law firms that cannot demonstrate impressive strength in all key areas of practice.” He added that a competitive local market and economic indicators had driven the decision to expand the insolvency practice in particular.
