Minter Ellison has added Mayer Brown finance partner Nicola Marley to its London team.
Dual qualified in the England and Australia, Marley has broad experience in finance transactions ranging from leveraged finance and restructuring to private equity investment and project finance.
She will be the third partner in Minter Ellison’s London office and will head the firm’s London finance team. Nigel Clark, previously head of the firm’s London finance team, relocated to the firm’s Beijing office in February this year.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown as a partner in 2009, Marley served as a managing associate in Linklaters’ private equity team in London. Marley’s appointment comes six months after corporate partner Michael Wallin joined Minter Ellison from Mayer Brown (26 October 2011).
Minter Ellison chief executive partner John Weber said in a statement: “Nicola’s appointment continues our strategic commitment to London. As a key global financial centre and an important base for Australian clients operating in the UK and throughout Europe, it’s important for us to have a strong partner presence on the ground here.”
Minter Ellison’s London office opened in 1974, making it the first Australian firm to have an on-the-ground presence in the City.
