Minter Ellison hires Janet Young as chief operating officer

Minter Ellison has announced the appointment of Janet Young as its new chief operating officer (COO). She assumes operational management of the firm’s non-legal functions, including finance, know-how, technology, business services, people and development and business development.

Young has international financial and strategic management experience with leading companies, primarily in the management consulting and professional services sectors.

Most recently, she was global COO of Herbert Smith Freehills, where she led the integration following the merger of Herbert Smith and Freehills. She was appointed to that role following a number of years as the COO of Freehills, where she led a number of firm-wide improvement programmes.
