Australian giant Minter Ellison has raided Richards Butler’s London arm, hiring employment specialist Pattie Walsh in a bid to bolster its Hong Kong presence.
Walsh joins the Australian giant as special counsel and head of its Greater China employment and human resources practice.
She joins from Richards Butler’s London office where she had been a partner in the employment practice since May 2003. She was previously a partner with Osborne Clarke.
Walsh’s hire significantly bolsters Minter Ellison’s employment capability within Greater China. The firm previously had five lawyers working within the its Greater China employment and human resources practice.
Overall the firm has 40 lawyers based in Hong Kong operating across six practice areas, including employment and HR.
