Mills & Reeve is launching a 20-strong China team to advise clients on doing business in China.
The team will be led by Robert Weatherley, an assistant who joined Mills & Reeve from Clifford Chance earlier this year. Weatherley spent six months on secondment in Shanghai, where he acted for Alcatel China on the acqusition of a shareholding in Shanghai Bell.
All types of Chinese work will be covered by the new team. Recently Mills & Reeve has advised businesses on intellectual property disputes, trade mark work and contracts in China.
Mills & Reeves has a close referral relationship with Shanghai’s Boss & Young, which it instructs on complex Chinese law issues.
