Milbank Scoops A&O partner Jacobs for tech push

US firm Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has raided Allen & Overy to land star partner Laurence Jacobs in a major assault on the IT sector.

In a statement. London managing partner Phill Fletcher said: "Laurence Jacobs is an undoubted star in his field. His arrival will afford us the depth of experience and capabilities needed to be a market leader."

This year Jacobs’ Allen & Overy team, along with DLA, won IT team of the year at the Lawyer Awards for its work on the mammoth NHS outsourcing project – the largest civil IT project ever.
