Milbank builds up City practice with Ashurst hire

Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has hired an Ashurst restructuring partner to bulk up its capabilities in the City.

Nick Angel has joined the US firm’s London office after being a partner at Ashurst since 1997.
Milbank’s head of financial restructuring Dennis Dunne said: “Nick joining complements the London team at a time when the firm’s extremely active in this field.”
Earlier this year Angel worked with Ashurst restructuring partner Giles Boothman advising Deloitte on the administration of retailer Land of Leather (13 January 2009).
Ashurst has 23 partners in its global restructuring group and approximately 30 associates.
Earlier this month The Lawyer reported that the silver circle firm hired White & Case restructuring partner Dan Hamilton (10 August 2009).
