Plenty of lawyers put their brain power to use last week in response to a story that a survey had placed London well behind Bradford for law firm locations.
Using the Backchat function, which allows lawyers to offer informed comment on all the breaking news of the day, a number of bloggers, most going under the name 'Anonymous', argued the toss in cyberspace about the exact location of one of the places mentioned in said survey, namely Sutton Coldfield.
"Isn't Sutton Coldfield part of Birmingham?" asks one. "Try asking that to a person from Sutton Coldfield," counters another.
Good old Digby Fletcher, who not only revealed his identity online, but also solved the riddle, chips in: "It's as much a part of Birmingham as Croydon is of London. My auntie lived there."
