Scottish firm McGrigor Donald is setting up a banking practice in its London office in order to bolster existing relationships with national clients.
It has appointed CMS Cameron McKenna's Jonathan Leggett as a partner to head the new London banking team. Leggett specialises in projects and PFI-related banking work and has acted for the Royal Bank of Scotland at Camerons. He said: "I imagine I was appointed as I am a good fit, both practice and personality-wise." McGrigors' national head of banking Colin McKay said the decision to appoint a London head of banking was timely. "I am very excited that we have, belatedly, got the banking unit down to London," he said.
