McGrigors finds new UK corporate chief

• McGrigors has named London-based partner Patrick Martin as its UK-wide head of corporate.

Martin replaces Richard Masters, who has succeeded Colin Gray as firmwide managing partner. Gray stood down after two terms.

Martin's practice focuses on private equity, venture capital and biotech and life sciences and he has worked on corporate finance, M&A, joint ventures, financings and IPOs.

Masters has been at McGrigors since his trainee days in 1987 and has been a partner since 1995.
