This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
McGrigors has poached partner Wayne Lawrence from medium-sized Scottish law firm Biggart Baillie. Lawrence will be joining Shonaig Macpherson's information technology team. But a start date has not yet been set.
Lawrence follows his colleague Colin McKay, who joined McGrigors two weeks ago from Biggart Baillie.
David Scott, who left Clifford Chance where he was an associate lawyer in September, will become a partner in May.
In February, Philip Myerscough and Hannah Sutter joined McGrigors from Henderson Boyd Jackson. Six partners were made up in January, including Paul Davidson, who rejoined after a three-year stint in-house at JKX Oil & Gas.
Maclay Murray & Spens has 43 partners and Arthur Andersen law firm Dundas & Wilson has a head-count of 57. Last year, McGrigors ranked third with 39 partners.
