The London office of McDermott Will & Emery has hired a senior US securities lawyer from Davis Polk & Wardwell.
Daniel Rabinowitz joins from Davis Polk's London practice. He is the second US securities partner to move to the office in as many months. Rick Mitchell moved in July from Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison. Rabinowitz has been at Davis Polk for seven years. He has worked in the banking group and the securities underwriting group. His banking clients have included Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston. He recently worked on SunAmerica's SEC-registered offering of its Premium Equity Redemption Cumulative Security Units. He said: "I am looking forward to being part of a team which is building and growing a practice. Davis Polk has an established set of clients and very longstanding relationships, and senior partner William Charnley and the others at McDermotts are doing a very good job of building the client base."
