US firm McDermott Will & Emery has recruited Theodore Goddard's highly-rated e-commerce and advertising lawyer Rafi Azim-Khan.
Azim-Khan specialises in advertising, sports, entertainment, IP and internet law. He joins McDermotts as a senior associate and will work closely with telecoms and technology partners Philip Rees and Stephanie Liston.
William Charnley, head of McDermotts' London office, says: "As the internet and telecoms converge we will find that what Ravi has on the e-commerce side and advertising will fit very nicely.
"We are doing a lot of private equity investments for US clients in Europe and the UK for e-commerce. E-commerce is a growth area and every time I speak to clients they have a new requirement and it's important that people have an understanding of the e-commerce area."
