The Lawyer should ask the top 100 firms for figures as the results (if properly provided) will be interesting. Are you saying that those on or recently back from maternity leave should be protected from redundancy or do you genuinely think they are being discriminated against? Those on maternity leave have additional protection from dismissal on the grounds of redundancy – of course if lawyers do not know this then it is hardly surprising some firms still behave in this way.
