McDermott Will & Emery’s London office is bumping up corporate with a lateral from Dorsey & Whitney.
Michael McFall is leaving Dorsey after six years at the firm. His clients include technology giant Intel, Pearson and US private equity firm The Carlyle Group.
The hire of McFall follows the summer appointment of employment partner David Dalgarno as McDermott’s managing partner for London and completes a long search for a suitable corporate partner.
Last year the firm lost five partners across the telecoms, IP and tax practice areas. It reinforced the tax group with the hire of Alastair Wilson, who joined the firm as of counsel from PricewaterhouseCoopers in July.
Neither McDermott or Dorsey returned calls for comment.
