McDermott Will & Emery has reversed the flow of high-level departures in its London office by hiring a partner for its employment team.
Vanessa Morgan will join McDermott from Allen & Overy, where she was senior counsel.
Morgan's arrival will take the London employment team to four partners, including team head Alison Wetherfield and office managing partner David Dalgarno.
The team was depleted severely last year when former head Fraser Younson defected to Berwin Leighton Paisner, followed by partner Rebecca Harding-Hill.
Those were just two exits in a year that has seen McDermott's London office lose seven partners, most recently corporate head William Charnley, who moved to Chicago rival Mayer Brown earlier this month.
But McDermott has also made several partner hires, including Ashurst structured finance partner Kate Lamburn in July.
