Top Dublin firm McCann FitzGerald has bolstered its London office by sending a second partner to the UK.
Finance partner Hugh Beattie joins aircraft finance partner Barbara Judge, who already works out of London, as the long-awaited replacement for banking lawyer John Cronin, who returned to Dublin over two years ago.
Beattie specialises in structured finance and has recently worked with Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank and Axa Investment Managers. He will aim to build up McCann’s relationship with investment and retail banks and financial institutions, in addition to focusing on referral relationships with City law firms.
The firm’s chairman Ronan Molony said: “Hugh’s appointment will, we believe, further assist our ability to service international clients who seek to invest in, or structure, transactions through Ireland.”
