Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw (MBRM) has boosted its London finance group by hiring a structured securities specialist from the London office of Gide Loyrette Nouel.
Edmund Parker will join MBRM as a partner in the firm’s securitisation and structured finance team. Parker joins from Gide, where he had been a senior associate for four years. Parker told The Lawyer: “Mayer Brown has a very strong team with a broad practice. There’s a lot of room for growth and development, which is an exciting prospect for me.”
Previously Parker has advised institutions such as Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank.
“There’s a lot of potential to further develop relationships with these clients at Mayer Brown,” he said.
MBRM’s co-head of the London securitisation group Bruce Bloomingdale said: “Ed’s appointment fits the type of strategy we’re pursuing as his practice is diverse and we’re looking for diversity in our growth strategy. His practice also fits with what our clients are doing.”
