Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw's (MBR&M) Paris office has bagged a partner from French independent Veil Jourde, boosting the firm's corporate team.
Guillaume Kuperfils joins MBR&M with a team of four associates. The move leaves Veil Jourde with just seven partners. Kuperfils spent 16 years at the firm.
Kuperfils specialises in M&A and private equity transactions, advising both domestic and international clients. He becomes MBR&M's eleventh Paris-based partner.
MBR&M Paris managing partner Jean-Pierre Lee said that Kuperfils' appointment followed a strong year for the firm's corporate department, which has advised on deals such as Starwood Capital's recent acquisition of Taittinger Champagne for e600m (£329.61m).
"Our practice has developed a lot in this sector," said Lee.
