Mayer Brown Rose & Maw (MBR&M) has bagged a construction partner from Hammonds’ London office.
Jonathan Hosie will join MBR&M’s City-based construction and engineering group as its sixth partner on September 6. He is a legacy partner of Edge Ellison, which merged with Hammonds in 2000.
Hosie specialises in risk management under building and engineering contracts and does both contentious and non-contentious work, including high-profile adjucation for projects like the Swiss Re tower.
Michael Regan, head of the MBR&M construction group, said that the hire will further develop the department. It is expected that the majority of Hosie’s clients will follow him to his new firm.
Hosie said: "I’m very pleased to be joining a very strong team with a fantastic reputation. It gives me a chance to work with some of the best lawyers in the business – they’re very good at what they do."
