Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw is the latest to benefit from the collapse of Brobeck Phleger & Harrison, snapping up the tech giant’s IT outsourcing group. Mayer Brown has taken on Brobeck’s former IT head Nigel Howard and lead outsourcing partner David Hudanish along with four other lawyers.
The team’s outsourcing clients include DuPont, JP Morgan Chase, American Airlines and Reuters. Dan Masur, head of outsourcing at Mayer Brown’s Washington office, said: “Brobeck was one of a small cadre of firms operating in the top tier of IT and business process outsourcing. We are delighted to have [this team] on board.”
So far Morgan Lewis has been the biggest winner from Brobeck’s collapse, taking 150 lawyers, including around 50 partners. Dorsey & Whitney, Weil Gotshal & Manges, Baker & McKenzie, Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, Andrews & Kurth, Morrison & Foerster and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld have also taken teams.
