Mayer Brown makes double hire in Paris to bolster pan-European real estate" />Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw has scooped a highly-rated and well-known real estate figure from Clifford Chance's Paris office as part of a strategy to build its practice.
Henry Lazarski joins the US firm after 30 years at Clifford Chance, where he was a founder of the Paris practice and head of real estate.
A second partner, Jean-Pierre Daniel, has joined the Mayer Brown office from Paris firm DS Avocats, bringing 15 years of experience in the real estate sector.
Lazarski and Daniel bring a wealth of French and European contacts from investment funds and major property companies. Joint head of global real estate Jeremy Clay said the hires would complement the real estate finance practice of Paris managing partner Jean-Philippe Lambert, which is based principally on banking clients. "The idea is to build greater real estate capability in Paris beyond our focus on real estate finance," he said.
Lazarski and Daniel join a pan-European real estate team of 21 partners in London, Frankfurt, Cologne and Paris.
