  • Advice re bloggers

Interesting advice re bloggers. The last chairman of the firm also had some good advice ... never turn a one day story into a two day story.

  • Ironic

The New York office is struggling and they appoint a bankruptcy lawyer (Brian Trust) to run the show. Who said Americans don't have an ironic sense of humour.

  • LawBloggers not to blame

I suspect Mayer Brown has tried to take on bloggers in the past. The firm has openly sacked 45 long serving partners, publicly changed its compensation system, has been subject to 3 high profile law suits and appears to have many unhappy current and former lawyers. Almost all of this was brought into the public domain by Mayer Brown itself or by its own actions. I think the dig at bloggers and the attempt to suggest that bloggers are even partly responsible for their current ills is way off the mark. Perhaps they could assist themselves by providing less fodder for the blogging community.

  • Hmmm...

And now one of their partners has been charged with a US$2.4bn fraud... does it get any worse?
