Martineau Johnson has taken on former NPower in-house lawyer John Stubbs as a consultant in the energy and projects team
Stubbs will work in the specialist small-scale generation market and will be responsible for bringing in new clients. Stubbs, who joined Martineaus last week, will work four days a week and will also retain his position as company secretary at Warwick Energy. Warwick is a Martineaus client, but the firm got to know Stubbs when he was in-house at Independent Energy, another client of Martineaus. He moved to NPower when Independent collapsed and was taken over by NPower's parent company Innogy. Energy and projects head Andrew Whitehead said: "We want to develop the practice to target small generators, particularly windfarms. We also want to get involved in green certificates trading."
