DLA’s Birmingham office has lost two lawyers and a director from its infrastructure and project finance team to Martineau Johnson.

Catherine Burke, a barrister and consultant at DLA is due to join Martineu Johnson as a partner on 1 May. Bill Bullivant, a non-lawyer who was a director of public procurement at DLA, joined the firm in January.
Additionally, Jay Bola will join the team as an associate.

Andrew Whitehead, head of Martineau Johnson’s energy and projects department, said: “This new team’s extensive experience in projects work will be invaluable to us in building on our current strengths and reputation in the education, transport and local authority sectors, and developing a premier division PPP practice.”

In January the firm won competitive tenders to advise Barnsley College in South Yorkshire and City of Bath College in Somerset. It was also chosen by the Pershore Group of colleges to advise it on a join venture with the Bulmer Foundation, an organisation that investigates sustainable ways of living and working.
