Niche Stoke-on-Trent firm Heatons has raided Martineau Johnson for a new head of litigation.
Andrew Spooner, who has been the head of Martineu Johnson’s commercial litigation practice for the past 15 years, has joined Heatons as a director of litigation.
His arrival follows the appointment earlier this month of Matt Fleetwood as the firm’s new managing partner. As first revealed on www.thelawyer.com (6 April) Fleetwood succeeded David Beeck who quit Heatons to join London-based corporate finance investment house Arev.
In addition to sitting as a deputy district judge, Spooner is a member Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal and has been appointed intervening agent by the Law Society on three occasions in the last two years.
