Marco Franzini specialises in corporate and corporate finance work such as M&A, private equity, investment funds, acquisition financings, corporate and syndicated loans. He also advises on financial restructurings, including in relation to flotations, secondary offerings and delistings.
After being admitted to the Italian Bar in 1990, Marco worked in the legal department of one of the largest Italian banks and then, as a partner, in a leading Italian law firm. He joined the Milan office of Simmons & Simmons as a partner in 1998.
Marco is member of the international Board of the firm and is head of the international private equity in the Italian practice. He has also been managing partner and country head of the Italian offices. He is a member of AIFI (Italian Private Equity Association) and legal counsel of the working group formed by ABI (Italian Banks Association) and AIFI on buy-back financings.
