City-based construction specialist Masons has lost out to Nottingham firm Freethcartwright, which has been appointed to act as national construction company Mansell's primary adviser.
Masons was previously Mansell's main adviser, and the result is likely to come as a blow, although the company will remain a client of the firm. The work is a coup for Freethcartwright, which has offices in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. Mansell is one of the UK's largest construction and property services companies, with a turnover of £241m. Freethcartwright recently announced the appointment of corporate finance partner Murray Macnab, who joined from Derby firm Robinsons. The firm has one of the largest commercial property departments in the Midlands; other property clients include Brydon Developments and Monk Estates.
