Manchester firm JMW has boosted its corporate and employment teams after hiring partners from Pinsent Masons and Nexus.
Chris Moss joins JMW as a fixed-share partner and head of corporate. He joins from Pinsent Masons, where he was a corporate partner for more than five years, specialising in M&A, management buy-outs and flotations, for both public and private companies.
Carl Moran also joins JMW as a fixed-share partner, but in the employment team. Moran was head of employment for five years at Manchester firm Nexus. Before that he was at Eversheds. Also joining the firm’s employment department is solicitor Laura Skelly, from Dickinson Dees’ Newcastle office.
“One of the things that I was brought in here to do was to assist in the commercial side of the firm,” said senior partner Joy Kingsley, who joined JMW from Pannone last year. “It was something I had been successful at doing at my last firm and that’s what I’m doing here. With these hires, we have brought in two great partners with good client bases, which will help the growth of the firm.”
